This position reports to the Pumping Station Coordinator. The Pumping Station Operator is responsible to ensure that all water and wastewater pumping equipment is operational and optimized. The position is also responsible for water quality testing and monitoring to ensure that the City’s drinking water meets the Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines. This position includes maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment associated with the various pumping and storage facilities and water metering systems.

The position must remain current on industry changes including technology, legislation, standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
